CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY AND STUDIOS
The Odell Studio Gallery presents a harmonious exhibit of contemporary paintings by Carol Odell and the metalwork (fine jewelry, vessels and sculpture) by Tom Odell within the setting of a historic Greek Revival house on the main street of Chatham on Cape Cod.
The studios adjoin the gallery making the artists available for visitors. The artists established themselves in Chatham in 1975. As the location is not only a gallery, but the artists' studios and residence, it offers a unique experience for the interested collector or gallery visitor.
The gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 5pm, and by appointment all other times. Visitors are encouraged to call ahead to verify hours.

"Our work shares an exploration of unique, non-objective, visual and sculptural images within the format of traditional materials and techniques."
CAROL ODELL
Trained as an oil painter at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Carol Odell has worked in commercial design, textiles and photography. Her improvisational, non-objective, color expressive works are created in oil, encaustic (beeswax medium) or gouache. Beginning with a non-representational structure, her paintings are built with an eye to creating an imagined space with non-specific references to the natural world. Viewers are encouraged to view the paintings as if visiting a “place” for the first time.
TOM ODELL
Tom Odell's work as a metal artist has evolved over fifty years from apprentice jeweler to goldsmith jewelry designer, silversmith, maker of hollowware, utensils and sculpture.
